I had aimed to share a new ‘chapter’ of my story each week, yet life has found a way of preventing that.
For the past 4-5 weeks I have been on an intense health journey that isn’t stroke related. I have received a new diagnosis of a chronic illness, after using my life savings to get an answer privately. Again the NHS has failed me, and my trust has never returned since my stroke.
After 12 years of trying to get help, I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis (at suspected stage 3) and Adenomyosis. I have a date for surgery, where the depth and stages of the diseases will be confirmed. Once surgery has been completed and I have started to recover, I will begin to write new ‘chapters’ of my story.
For now, thank you for your patience while I’ve stepped away from the writing. It seems that life wanted to throw another battle my way, and give me extra things to pour my writing into.
